If this book was purchased through Alibris Site–no matter who the bookseller is, it is pretty easy to get a refund for. Click on your order, and the directions should be there.
Also, while I’m sure that there are some scumbag sellers out there, this may not be the seller’s fault. Often times publishers reuse ISBN numbers for newer editions–no notice is sent out–a bookseller isn’t likely to catch it until they go over their inventory. BUT, a good bookseller will always add the Edition, and if there is not an edition stated, the year of publication.
